Some of the proceeds to benefit HealthReach Hospice
In an effort to continue its ongoing support of Grieving Children’s Program of HealthReach Hospice, Corniche Art Gallery in Gardiner is displaying mixed media photographs and montages of Mary Becker Weiss in a Holiday Exhibit and Sale at The Mad Dog Pub in Gardiner. Ten percent of the proceeds will be donated to GCP which offers free support services to children from ages 3 to 18 who have lost a loved one.

Mary has volunteered for many years as a group facilitator for GCP. She has worked with young children, teens and their parents to help them express their feelings through art, music, dance and writing in a safe, confidential environment. “It’s not all gloom and doom at GCP,” says Weiss. “These kids feel safe with each other ~ it’s a safe place for them to pour their hearts out, cry if they want, scream if they want, and believe it or not get down-right silly if they want!”
Support during the holidays is especially critical for families who have lost a loved one. If you would like more information about support services for children and teens or about creatively volunteering your time and talents to the Grieving Children’s Program, please contact
