Kennebec Valley Tourism Council 2009-2010 Regional Grant Application

Purpose:

The Kennebec Valley Tourism Council (KVTC) has established a program to support local tourism promotional initiatives that will enhance the potential of making the KVTC region a destination.

Eligible Groups:

Eligible organizations include Chambers of Commerce; non-profit tourism facilities; boards of trade; and other non-profits that engage in the business of tourism or tourism attraction.  Organizations that apply for the programmust be a member of the Kennebec Valley Tourism Council.

Program Guidelines:

1. For every $2.00 awarded from KVTC, the applicant must have a $1.00 in matching in-kind or cash funds.  You must show your matching funds in the proposed budget.
2. Within 60-days of the completion of the project the applicant must meet specific reporting requirements which include: 
A. Financial reports which indicate how the funds were expended.
B. Details of the delivered project along with a post campaign summary of the project to demonstrate the visitor impact of the event or project.
3. The recipient must give appropriate acknowledgement of the KVTC and The Maine Office of Tourism involvement in supporting the initiative.
4. The total amount available for each organization will not exceed $2,500.
5. The KVTC reserves the right to reject any and all submissions and/or applications.

Applications are due on or before 5:00 pm Friday, March 5, 2010 to the Kennebec Valley Tourism Council Grant Manager.
